Organic Miso is a high protein seasoning made from soybeans, cultured grain, salt and water. A very versatile soyfood, miso has unlimited cooking usage's in soups, sauces, dips, gravies and dressings. Amano Aka (Red) Miso, is a naturally aged blend of Organic White Rice, Organic Whole Soybeans, Sea salt and Filtered water. A longer aging and cooking of the soybeans to a darker colour result in Amano Aka miso having a rich reddish colour and heartier flavour than our Shiro (White) Miso. Unpasteurized, storage at cool temperatures helps to inhibit normal fermentation in this package. Amano Miso Naturally Aged Since 1939, the Amano family name has stood for quality in naturally aged miso. Amano Miso is created with select organic ingredients including whole soybeans, sea salt and koji. Drawing on three generations of Japanese miso tradition, Amano Miso is hand crafted and barrel aged for up to a full season. The result: a full-bodied, premium Miso that can be used in every cuisine, as an excellent base for soups and sauces or as distinctive marinade for fish, meat and poultry.
