• 2 cups (500 ml) of fruit puree (To make the puree, put in the blender: 1 large organic banana, 1 small organic orange - well washed and not peeled -, and enough organic pears or apples to reach 2 cups), and put aside.

  • 2/3 cup (175 ml) of a milk substitute (rice, almond or soy beverage)
  • 2 organic eggs
  • ¼ cup (65 ml) of vegetable oil
  • 3 cups (750 ml) of organic pastry flour
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of wheat germ (or rolled oats slightly chopped in the blender)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon (7 ml) of sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) of baking soda without alum
  • 1 teaspoons (10 ml) of baking powder without alum
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of pitted dates, cut in small pieces; or raisins – or a mix of both



  1. In the blender, mix together the oil and eggs.  Add the milk substitute and the fruit puree.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.  Add the nuts and fruits
  3. Pour the liquid ingredients on the dry ingredients while mixing
  4. Put the mix in 2 loaf pans, oiled and coated in flour.  
  5. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for about 45 minutes.

Serve with a yogurt sauce, nut butter, apple sauce, etc…

NB: It’s preferable to use organic ingredients.
