Chocolate granola bars without nuts

MAKE: 18 bars

  • 750 ml (3 cups) granola (gluten and nuts free)
  • 250 ml (1 cup) oatmeal or barley flakes
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) dried cranberries
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) chopped dried apricots
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) butter
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) raw sugar sucanat, coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) flour
  • 200 g of 70% dark chocolate cut into pieces


  • Preheat oven to 190 ° C (375 ° F).
  • In a bowl, combine granola with oats and dried fruit.
  • In another bowl, beat butter with brown sugar until you obtain a creamy consistency.
  • Add eggs and flour. Add the preparation of granola and dried fruit.
  • Transfer the mixture into a mold of 33 cm x 23 cm (13 x 9-inch) lined with a parchment sheet. Press mixture evenly. Bake 15 to 18 minutes. Let cool.
  • Melt 150 g of dark chocolate in a pan or in the microwave.
  • Turn out the preparation of granola, return to the smooth side is on top and return to the mold. Pour the chocolate on the preparation, even and cool. Back again the preparation so that the chocolate layer is below.
  • Melt the remaining chocolate. Using a fork, create chocolate filaments on the preparation. Cut into 18 bars.
